Alphatax UK London User Conference 2010

Tax Computer Systems is delighted to report the success of the Alphatax UK London User Conference 2010 which took place on 12 May at the BP Lecture Theatre in the British Museum. Attended by just under 300 customers, this was the company's first full day conference. Key to the conference was an update on iXBRL e-filing (fully enabled in our Alphatax UK Spring 2010 Edition) and our new automated iXBRL statutory accounts converter. Other highlights included:

  • Keynote speaker Jeff Smith who outlined HMRC’s roadmap for iXBRL
  • An introduction to the new functionality available in the latest Alphatax edition
  • An opportunity to see our new products for data collection (Alphapack) and internet-based data collaboration (Alphatrac)

Rob Davies Managing Director commented “These are exciting times at TCSL and it was great to share our developments with so many customers at such an attractive location. It was a busy day with 15 topics discussed varying from the field testing of iXBRL in Alphatax to maximising the customer’s experience with TCSL. iXBRL of course dominated the day, and while Alphatax customers currently have over 98% success with e-filing, we also explained our objective to exceed this achievement with first time submissions. Customers also kept the product demonstration tables very busy. It was overall a thoroughly enjoyable day, certainly for us the presenters and organisers, and, best of all, we had excellent feedback from the many customers who attended the event."

Tax Computer Systems plans to host similar events in other parts of the country this autumn.
